Balsamic reduction

A delicious way to slightly sweeten savoury salad dishes or to slightly sour sweet dishes. I love to use it over tomatoes or grilled or fresh peaches. The reduction does set hard if left to cool but can be softened again by heating.

Instructions
  1. Add balsamic vinegar and maple syrup to a saucepan and heat for a few minutes until the sauce reduces down to a thicker sauce. You may want to add less maple syrup at first to get your preferred sweetness.
Recipe Notes

Clever Tip; You can use 1-4 tbsp coconut sugar or any other alternative sweetener in place of the maple syrup.
