Our friends at MyVega.com have come up with a delicious smoothie bowl to start the celebrations for Canada Day in style. We love the different colours using frozen fruits and it is topped with some of our favourite superfoods- granola, hemp seeds and goji berries.

Ingredients
- White Layer . .
- 1 frozen banana
- 1/4 cup coconut milk
- shredded coconut
- Red Layer . .
- 1 cup frozen raspberries
- 1 cup frozen cherries ( or other red fruit)
- 1/2 cup coconut milk
- 1 scoop vanilla protein powder Use Vega or Sunwarrior
- 1 tsp acai powder
- Topping Options . .
- 4 tbsp gluten free granola
- 2-3 tsps hemp seeds
- 4 tsps goji berries soaked
- 2 tsps shredded coconut
- fresh slices banana
- fresh raspberries

Instructions
- Combine all white layer ingredients in a blender. Blend, scraping blender sides down if required. Slowly add more liquid, if required. Set aside in a chilled bowl.
- Combine all red layer ingredients. Blend, scraping blender sides down if required. Slowly add more liquid, if required. set aside in a chilled bowl.
- Layer red, white, red smoothie in two chilled glass bowls so you can see the layers.
- Add toppings of your choice. Enjoy your Canada Day breakfast!

Clever tip;
The protein powder in this recipe is optional. If you add it this makes a great post-workout breakfast.
Use any red fruits you have to create the red layer for your Canada Day smoothie bowl.
