Our friends at MyVega.com have come up with a delicious smoothie bowl to start the celebrations for Canada Day in style. We love the different colours using frozen fruits and it is topped with some of our favourite superfoods- granola, hemp seeds and goji berries.

  1. Combine all white layer ingredients in a blender. Blend, scraping blender sides down if required. Slowly add more liquid, if required. Set aside in a chilled bowl.
  2. Combine all red layer ingredients. Blend, scraping blender sides down if required. Slowly add more liquid, if required. set aside in a chilled bowl.
  3. Layer red, white, red smoothie in two chilled glass bowls so you can see the layers.
  4. Add toppings of your choice.Enjoy your Canada Day breakfast!

Clever tip;
The protein powder in this recipe is optional. If you add it this makes a great post-workout breakfast.
Use any red fruits you have to create the red layer for your Canada Day smoothie bowl.
