LEMON CHEESECAKE SMOOTHIE MEAL REPLACEMENT– DAIRY FREE

This smoothie was created to make a complete refreshing meal replacement bursting with lots of flavour. So much nicer than those packet mixes you can buy and with real fibre from the lemons, banana and the sweet potatoes. Protein provided from the hemp seeds and a spoonful or two of protein powder, and optional Omega 3 add in from chia seeds.

Ingredients
- 1 cup favorite non-dairy milk - almond with no added sugar is nice
- 1/4 cup soya plain yogurt
- 1/4 cup frozen butternut squash or sweet potato cubes Picard has them in France
- 1 lemon, washed, chunked, and seeded (If you have a Vitamix slice the lemon in 4 and throw the whole lemon in!)
- 1/2 ripe banana
- 1-2 tbsps raw cashew nuts
- 1-3 tbsps protein powder- hemp, rice, pea
- Optional maple syrup I find the smoothie delicious without any sweetener added
- 2 tbsps hemp seeds
- 2 tbsps chia seeds For extra Omega 3

Instructions
- Place all ingredients into a high powered blender and blend until smooth and creamy. (See notes for regular blenders).
Recipe Notes
BLENDER NOTE: A high powered blender will be necessary to pulverize the whole lemon. If you do not have one, zest the lemon instead and add the seeded pulp. It won’t be quite as lemony, but still delicious! I also recommend soaking the raw cashews if you are using a regular blender.
